Designed to assist the title insurance professional in understanding endorsements for both owner's and loan policies, this session will concentrate on those endorsements that may be issued when the insured land meets the definition of "residential real property," and will include a discuss of the procedural rules and basic underwriting guidelines that govern the issuance of those endorsements.

PROBATE ISSUES AND INTERSTATE SUCCESSION THROUGH AFFIDAVITS OF HEIRSHIP, TRANSFER ON DEATH DEEDS AND LADY BIRD DEEDS
When an owner of property passes away, a determination of who inherited the property can be made through the court system if a will is probated, or through the laws of intestacy if no will is probated. Other "non-probate" options include Transfer on Death Deeds and Lady Bird Deeds. This session will provide a broad overview of all of these options, to help title professionals determine who inherited a property they are asked to insure.
