Texas Secretary of State Publishes Proposed Online Notary Rules

The Texas Secretary of State today
published via the Texas Register these
online notary rules.
This rule proposal endeavors to implement HB1217 establishing “remote e-notary” in Texas. The TLTA Remote E-Notary Task Force has been evaluating earlier informal drafts of these proposed rules and providing feedback.

Comments to the Secretary of State regarding the proposed repeal and replacement of Chapter 87 must be received not later than the following date and time:
Noon, Friday, June 1, 2018.
